The Gun Company is a 15th Century historical re-enactment group specialising in Battle re-enactment rather than Living History. We are members of The Wars of the Roses Federation, and normally fight for the Yorkist cause. If you want Living History, go talk to The White Company.
The Company, in addition to a number of small cannon, and an organ-gun (what kind of gun company would we be with no guns...), also has it's own attached infantry, the Gun Guard. These mostly consist of light armed troops, but are backed up by our own happy band of plate armour fanatics, 'der Panzer Gruppe'.
The Company is an Equal Peversity Employer, and accepts people as members regardless of their kinks and pecularities; almost anyone who can stand up, hold a weapon, and talk at the same time (you don't have to make sense) is eligible for membership. We like to break new recruits in gently, gradually bringing them upto Federation standards of equipment and costume in easy stages, and welcome re-treads from other periods and people on low incomes, for whom finding lots of new and expensive gear could prove daunting.
We gladly allow women to take part in combat (unlike some groups) providing they are willing to wear 15th Century male costume.
The Company represents a 'Free Artillery Company' of European origin, and as befits such a body, has a diversity of regional costumes represented within it, including English, French, Burgundian, German, Italian, Hungarian, Bohemian, and Non Specific Peasant. Note: As of 'Tewksbury 99' now with added Irish Allies, the mighty Cú Glas.
